SAT / ACT Test Prep Expert, 36 ACT, 790 SAT Math. UChicago

Roshan S.

I scored a 36 on the ACT, with a 36 in Math, a 36 in Reading, and a 35 in English, and a 790 on SAT Math. I study Economics and Data Science at the University of Chicago, and I volunteer as an SAT tutor with Schoolhouse.world.

What I actually do is diagnose why a student misses a question, because all misses are not the same. A careless slip, a gap in the underlying algebra, a misread of what the question asked, and running out of clock all look identical on a score report and every one of them needs different work. Most of the points I found on my own tests came from separating those four, not from learning new material.

So the first thing I want is a recent practice test or score report, and from there the plan is a short list of the specific things costing the most points, targeted sets between sessions, and a review of what got missed and why.
