I am Shannon! I am currently enrolled in college at The County College of Morris as a Nursing Major. Through high school and college, I realized that the classes I enjoyed the most weren’t necessarily the ones I had the most interest in. Rather, it was the teacher who made the class fun. These teachers were always friendly and comprehensible when teaching the material in the classroom, and willing to go the extra mile with students. As a tutor I try to bring this knowledge to my approach when teaching, and do everything I can to make the learning a pleasant experience. I will individual plan out the lesson per student to introduce the topic in a fun and creative way, then teach the material. Afterwards, I always allot time for students to practice the material on their own. This can always be adjusted based on the subject or students needs!

I have prior tutoring experience for the children I babysit. I worked directly with students who needed any additional assistance in Elementary education.

Being a nursing major, Science is a large part of the foundation. I have always gone above and beyond in Science and Math courses, leaving me with great knowledge in these areas. I am willing to not only tutor in Science and Math, but any other additional Elementary courses.
