I hold a Master’s Degree in Literacy and have over eleven years of experience teaching and tutoring students with diverse learning needs in both elementary and middle school settings. As a certified Special Education and Elementary Education teacher, I specialize in helping children strengthen their reading, writing, and executive function skills through individualized, evidence-based instruction. My training in structured literacy allows me to support students in decoding, comprehension, written expression, and focus, while also nurturing their confidence and curiosity.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with students who face challenges such as dyslexia, ADHD, and language-based learning differences. I’ve taught in classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one environments, always tailoring my lessons to the learner in front of me. Whether a student is developing reading fluency, organizing a written response, or learning strategies to stay focused and manage time, my instruction blends structure and flexibility. I believe that meaningful learning happens when students feel both guided and empowered to explore.
My tutoring approach, inspired by what I call the “Curiosity Principle,” balances structured skill-building with opportunities for discovery. Curiosity is the spark that helps students move from frustration to engagement and from confusion to clarity. By creating a calm, supportive environment where questions are welcomed and progress is celebrated, I help students become confident, independent learners who understand not just what they are learning, but how they learn best.
