Hi, my name is Neha! I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor's in Neuroscience, a minor in Chemistry and Sociology, and earned a Certificate of Conceptual Foundations in Medicine. I’ve spent the past several years teaching science and math to students across a wide range of levels—from middle school through college. As a teaching assistant for human physiology and biochemistry, I worked closely with college students who were often overwhelmed by the material, helping them move from memorization to actually understanding how concepts connect and apply. I led office hours, walked through exam style problems, and focused on building the kind of reasoning skills that make difficult topics feel manageable.
Outside of the classroom, I’ve taught middle and high school students in one-on-one and small group settings, helping them strengthen both foundational skills and confidence in subjects they previously struggled with. I also volunteer as an English tutor for immigrants, which pushed me to adapt quickly to different communication styles and learning needs. That experience really shaped how I teach! I don’t rely on one method, but instead adjust how I explain things until it clicks for the student.
My goal is always the same: to make challenging material feel clear and intuitive. I focus on breaking concepts down step-by-step, connecting them to real-world examples, and helping students understand the “why” behind what they’re learning so they can apply it independently. I’m patient, structured, and very invested in helping students build both skill and confidence over time. Please feel free to contact me at anytime with questions or to schedule a lesson! I’d love to support you as you build confidence and move forward in your learning.
