I always wanted to be a Cantor ever since I was in 10th grade and my Rabbi, Rabbi Charise Cranes, z'l, said I had a pretty voice and I should be a Cantor. After discovering my voice and experiencing life, I finally did! I am an Invested Cantor/Educator and have been teaching for over eighteen years. I have been in both the classroom teaching Hebrew school grades 2-7 and one-on-one B'nai Mitzvah tutoring. I have been involved with several denominations, including Reform, Conservative, and Reconstructionist. I have served in one way or another with all of these denominations. I grew up Reform and the congregation I currently serve is a mixed Congregation of Reform and Conservative. I have also served in a Reconstructionist synagogue as well. I have taught Hebrew School and tutored B'nai Mitzvah in each of these denominations as well. I have a Bachelors of Music in Voice Performance from Kent State University, a Masters of Music in Voice Performance from Arizona State University, Investiture, Masters of Sacred Music and Masters of Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary. It is exciting to watch my student grow and learn in order to become the best they can be. I hope my excitement and joy in watching them grow rubs off on them as we embark on their journey to becoming B'nai Mitzvah together.
