Every student learns differently and at their own pace, so before anything else, I take time to understand each student’s learning style and adjust my approach accordingly. I believe the most important part of learning and progressing in math is having a strong foundation. I like to first assess a student’s current level, then review previous topics time to time to strengthen retention.
My main approach is to guide students rather than simply give answers or formulas, so they can build confidence and develop their own understanding. I can help create a detailed learning plan to keep progress organized and transparent.
In addition to tutoring, I have experience mentoring middle school students in after-school programs, which has helped me relate to students and build strong, supportive connections.
