I love teaching, especially the feeling when a student has an "aha" moment of getting it.
The Heart of my approach is that all minds work differently and learn differently. I teach according to the way you think. I lead you to understand and find the solution, to identify your own questions and blocks. I can help you utilize your own strengths, using formulas ( if you have a good memory), concepts (if you are visual) or drills (if you learn by repetition) or many other ways.

I believe that everyone can be successful. My students have taught me that you can work around and past learning disabilities, for example. It is not a question of who can be successful, as I once believed, but of how to be successful, as I now believe. Some of my students have said "he is very dedicated and makes complex ideas simple" and "he is beyond clear".
I worked in Finance as an analyst for 4 years and have real-world experience with financial concepts and products. I teach bonds, equities and derivatives, including options and futures. I have 15+ years of experience with SAT math, Calculus and all HS-level math.
My credentials include a math minor in college, and MBA in Finance from an Ivy league school, top 1% scores on 5 different standardized tests. I have taught hundreds of students over 15 years and tutored dozens more. I have had the honor of working with students from 10 to 50. My most successful students were motivated adults, young adults and teens. I would look forward to working with you.
One last thought: ancient wisdom says that I learned much from my teachers, more from my colleagues and the most from my students. For me that rings very true. My teachers were my idols and heroes who demonstrated great caring, dedication and clarity of thought. My colleagues showed me techniques and methods of teaching and my students, whom I mentioned above, taught me not to accept any limitations.
