I am a certified educator with a strong background in both general education and English as a Second Language. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Towson University and a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) from Kean University.
For the past 18 years, I have taught high school ESL in a public school setting, working with multilingual learners in grades 9–12 across a wide range of English proficiency levels (WIDA Levels 1–6). My experience includes teaching students in both small-group and one-on-one settings, with a focus on academic language development, writing support, grammar instruction, and reading comprehension. I have also worked extensively with students preparing for TOEFL, ACCESS, and other standardized assessments, as well as college admissions essays and interviews.
My teaching style is student-centered, supportive, and results-driven. I adapt my approach to meet individual needs, whether a student needs help building foundational grammar skills, improving speaking confidence, or mastering academic writing for success in high school and beyond. I believe in creating a learning environment where students feel safe to make mistakes, take risks, and grow as confident English users.
If you're looking for an experienced, highly qualified ESL educator who understands the challenges and goals of language learners, I would love to support your journey.
