My GRE math score is 1560/ 1600, ranking in the top percentile of the country. I have been involved with an organization called Action Tutoring in London, preparing High School equivalent teens for regional exams; thus, I have experience in tutoring international students as well.

I currently work as an engineer, so am actively utilizing my mathematical knowledge. I also read technical (and non technical) works to constantly refresh the mathematical areas I do not use on the job.

In addition, I have a strong interest in the arts and humanities. My university studies included an exceeding number of electives in the arts and humanities. I constantly read and attend galleries and museum exhibitions as well as watch documentaries on history and sociology to complement my education in these subjects.

My goal is not only to help you pass exams, but to equip with the skills and thinking- process to find and derive answers of your own. I expect a tutee to be inquisitive and work on their own outside of our tutorial sessions as it helps with being prepared for subsequent tutorials. Providing me with your preferred study guide and material helps me tutor to your style and provides a set of mutual study material to minimize confusion. Most importantly I expect you to have reliable access to the web as many references I will provide requires you being able to go online.

I'm open to online tutoring session(s).

Approved Subjects

ACT Math

ACT Math

I took the ACTs and managed a score with little prep. I'm happy to prepare students for the ACT provided they share their prep material.
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have taken upper-level math courses and constantly utilize the basics of math for engineering. I attend leisure lectures on mathematics for math's sake. I also work on proofs on my own time.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 is a math field that interpret variables in the form of linear equations, inequalities, graphs, matrices, polynomials/ radical expression, quadratic equation, functions, exponential and logarithmic expressions, sequences and series, probability and trigonometry. I have spent ample time on these topics and can provide insights that will serve you beyond our tutoring session.
Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering

My undergraduate degree was a B.S. in Civil Engineering. My master's was MSc & DIC General Structural Engineering. I am pending certification as a junior engineer (E.I.T.).
Discrete Math

Discrete Math

Discrete Mathematics is the study of math that take on whole number values. This field of mathematics has behavior different from continuous mathematics and thus involve finite methods. I have gained the principals of discrete mathematics through studies including Number Theory and Mathematical Reasoning, Combinatorics including Graph Theory, Finite Element Analysis, etc. Furthermore, I have applied this knowledge in building computer programs such as those that simulate network chains and structural analysis and discrete modeling of wave data. I continue to review Discrete Mathematics through my current preparation of my junior engineer exam.
Macintosh

Macintosh

I have been an avid Mac user for over a decade across platform and devices. I program on mac platform and avidly read and tinker with navigation tools on the mac. I am also knowledgeable through experience in knowing what secondary and tertiary devices work with the mac and their necessary calibration.
Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

During my civil engineering degree, many of the courses I took focused on structural mechanics. Mechanical Engineering is broad in expertise. The main study of Mechanical Engineering is structural mechanics, which is where structural and mechanical engineers coincide. In addition, I have a basic understanding of fundamentals for mechanical engineering as required by any junior engineer having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
Physics

Physics

I've taken physics with calculus. The physics I've taken is for engineering majors; I originally intended to declare to be a physics major.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

I have read Euclid's book on Trigonometry. I use trigonometry in the engineering work that I do. I also use trigonometry for physics problems in the classical sense. I am comfortable providing proofs for trigonometric results.
Geometry

Knowledgeable and Helpful Tutor!

Ron helped my son pass his high school Drafting Class. My son told me, “He taught me how to efficiently use AutoCad and was able to quickly answer and explain all questions that I had on the subject. Also, he was able to show me simple ways to solve complex problems.” My son and I would highly recommend Ron.
