I have over 20 years of experience teaching writing, English, and the humanities at the college level. I hold a Master of Arts in English from Rutgers University, with a concentration in creative writing, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I am also currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management.
My teaching experience includes working as an adjunct professor and instructor at institutions such as Camden County College, DeVry University, Kaplan University, Rowan University, and Salem Community College. I have taught courses in composition, research writing, ESL, communication, and developmental English in both classroom and online environments. I have extensive experience using learning management systems such as Canvas and Blackboard to support student learning.
Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of students, including traditional college students, adult learners, and ESL students. I have supported students in developing essays, research papers, and written assignments by guiding them through the writing process, including brainstorming, organization, drafting, and revision. I regularly provide individualized, constructive feedback to help students improve clarity, structure, and argument development.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have provided one-on-one academic support and mentoring to students, helping them build confidence in their writing and strengthen their academic skills. My approach focuses on meeting students where they are, breaking down complex assignments into manageable steps, and helping them develop independence as writers.
