Hello! I have taught Latin and Ancient Greek for many years at the high school and college level. I love private tutoring because it allows me to find what works for the individual student. I am always eager to share my passion for the classical languages and the ancient world with curious students!

I have taught at at levels, from absolute beginner to advanced college courses — and over the years I've developed tons of handouts and various techniques for explaining all the tricky aspects of Latin and Greek. I find the ancient languages beautiful and fascinating and I love helping others understand how to read ancient texts.

I completed a PhD in Classical Philology at Harvard University in 2018. At Harvard I taught at all levels in both Greek and Latin, from Latin 101 to advanced Greek courses. I also won numerous prizes in composition of Greek and Latin, and I am happy to teach students who are interested in learning to use Greek and Latin actively.

Top notch.

I couldn't imagine a better tutor. Besides the breadth of his substantive knowledge and his organized curriculum, he is a pleasure to work with! (For me, it is an additional bonus that his modern Italian is also fluent).
