Gladys taught me how to find radius and equation of a circle, absolute value and types of factoring among other pre-calculus items. I like how Gladys is not only enthusiastic about what she was teaching me, but also was so confident in her knowledge so she could go slow and teach me step-by-step. Gladys helped me to build my confidence in the topic so I can actually enjoy learning more about pre-calculus and calculus.

She is very patient and knowledgeable with Algebra 2. I received help for my next test and really understood the concepts taught. I would recommend Gladys for anyone who needs xtra help. She took the time to ask what problems I needed help with and came prepared to explain them to me. Well done Gladys.

Gladys has been able to help my daughter better understand what she is learning in class. She has gained new confidence in her abilities to do her math work. Gladys goes the extra mile to make sure my daughter is understanding the material. She is a person who loves to teach students.

Gladys helped me with my 100 questions math assignment which is mixtures of arithmetic, pre - algebra, geometry, fractions, graphs, percentage, and word problems solving.

Algebra 1,
Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I also have experience tutoring Algebra 2 to high school students.

I have a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin with a minor concentration in Computer Science. Finite Math, as is typically taught to business students, usually includes topics in basic probability and combinatorics, statistics, linear programming, and matrix algebra. I have learned this material in various courses (Probability, Logic, Linear Programming, Linear Algebra, etc.) in my mathematics and computer science coursework. I have experience tutoring basic probability and combinatorics to business students.

As a mathematics instructor, I noted that most students got their first introduction to mathematical thinking in Geometry class. During my second career as an aerospace engineer, I used Geometry to solve problems in Navigation and Guidance.
