I am entering my sixth year as an Elementary educator with experience teaching both Kindergarten and First Grade in a general education classroom setting. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education, a Master's degree in Reading Education, and a Reading Specialist certification. These qualifications have provided me with a strong foundation in literacy instruction, differentiated learning, evidence based teaching practices, and supporting students with diverse learning needs.

In addition to my classroom experience, I have been tutoring students for over five years in one-on-one settings. I specialize in helping young learners develop foundational skills in reading, phonics, writing, comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and mathematics. I have experience working with students who need additional academic support, those looking to stay ahead, and children who benefit from individualized instruction tailored to their unique learning styles.

My tutoring approach is centered on building meaningful relationships with students and creating a learning environment where they feel safe, supported, and confident taking academic risks. I begin by identifying each student's strengths, areas for growth, and personal goals. Then I design engaging lessons that meet students individual needs. I always incorporate research based instructional strategies, hands-on learning experiences, games, and ongoing progress monitoring to keep lessons both effective and enjoyable.

I strongly believe every child can succeed when provided with the right support, encouragement, and opportunities to grow. My goal is not only to help students strengthen their academic skills and achieve measurable progress, but also to foster independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. I strive to make every tutoring session positive, engaging, and rewarding so students leave feeling proud of what they have accomplished and excited to continue learning.
