Hi! My name is Jared W. I’ve been a software engineer for over 9 years now. I've worked at companies ranging from The New York Times to Business Insider to Shapeways. I also run my own consulting gig on the side to build and advise on solutions for startups early stage to high growth. Today, I want to give a little back and provide you with lessons in everything web development, Javascript, React, Nodejs, and possibly becoming an employed engineer if that's your interest. I myself am self taught. I found a good framework for going from zero to making that 6 figure job in a short amount of time. I can provide my knowledge/network/community to help you do the same. Let’s get to work!

I have been tutoring and mentoring engineers since I started my own coding club as a teenager and competed/mentored at hackathons across the east coast. What I lack in traditional training I make up for with real world knowledge and an intimate understanding of how beginners grow to the next level.

I have had two roles in PHP one was Symfony focused the other was Zend. Both roles were SQL databases (MySQL/Postgres). It's been central to my career so far and even though the past 2 years I haven't been using it as much I still stay up to date.

I have been using React since 2017 when I was at the New York Times. It was emerging as a popular framework at the time and I got corporate training from the React Router developers. It's been my go to framework ever since.
