I am a certified New Jersey teacher with an MBA and a Master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Maryland, as well as an undergraduate degree in History from Roanoke College. Over the last five years, I have been teaching middle school Civics and World History as well as a dual-enrollment, Personal Finance course for high school students with a local University. I specialize in helping students understand how money works in the real world, from budgeting and saving to credit and investing basics.
As a former Manager of Financial Services, Financial Planner, and Advisor, my goal is to make financial concepts simple, practical, and relevant for students and families. I focus on real-life applications and examples so students can build skills they will use for the rest of their lives.
I work with middle and high school students who want to improve their understanding of personal finance, complete coursework, or prepare for financial independence. I have worked in person, online, one-to-one, and with both large and small groups, providing financial education gleaned from real-life experiences and examples.
