I hold a Master’s degree in Teaching from Rutgers University and have been teaching PreK students for 15 years. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with young learners to build strong foundations in early literacy, mathematics, problem-solving, and other essential academic skills. I also hold a Certificate of Eligibility (CE) for teaching and have extensive classroom experience adapting instruction to meet students’ individual learning needs. As a bilingual educator, I am also able to communicate in Spanish and can support Spanish-speaking students and families.
Math has always been a particular area of interest for me. While in college, I considered pursuing a mathematics teaching route and completed a considerable amount of college-level mathematics coursework, including Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus. My teaching experience has given me the ability to break down mathematical concepts into clear, manageable steps and help students develop confidence in their problem-solving skills. I enjoy finding different ways to explain a concept when a student is having difficulty understanding it.
In addition to teaching and mathematics, I have a strong passion for drawing and realistic pencil art. I enjoy drawing with pencils and focusing on realism, and I would be happy to help students who are interested in developing their drawing skills, especially with observation, proportions, shading, and detail. My goal as a tutor is to create a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions, build confidence, and learn at their own pace.
