My name is Kait, and I have several years of English language tutoring experience. I love teaching Adult English Language learners of all levels, and since 2009, I have volunteered with a local chapter of Literacy Volunteers where I live. I have taught single clients to small groups of students, who have come from countries such as Korea, India, and Saudi Arabia. I also taught Sudanese and Haitian refugees at a community center in the summer of 2012, and I consider it one of the best experiences of my life because I believe in helping underserved populations.
I have an undergraduate degree in Literature from Ramapo College of New Jersey, and I received my certificate in TESOL from Montclair State University. I am currently in my last semester of the TESOL/TEFL Master's program at Farleigh Dickinson University, and once I graduate I hope to find employment at a community college or non-profit organization.
The aspect I love most about teaching is the exchange of cultural information that can occur when I assist my students. I often feel that I learn just as much from them as they do from me, which is extremely rewarding for me!
