I started helping struggling students when I was in school myself. I have been tutoring successfully for many years: developing students' critical thinking skills, helping them to improve grades, preparing for tests.

I teach through understanding, not memorization and repetition. I present topics from different perspectives. I teach how to solve a complicated problem by changing it to a series of simple ones. I find the best explanation for each student by using individual approach to their abilities, learning style, and personality.

I have a Bachelor degree in Mathematics, love math, and enjoy sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm with students. I teach Elementary Math, Prealgebra, Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Trigonometry and Calculus.

Over the years I helped many students turn Math from frustrating subject to understandable and, even, enjoyable one. I taught many students over the years from Elementary Math trough Algebra to Geometry. I am also available for one or two lessons to explain specific topic, answer some questions, or help with a test review.

Some students struggle when they start learning algebra because it's different from elementary school math. It takes some time to adjust to working with variables instead of numbers. I love algebra and enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion with students. I teach algebra using a step-by-step approach with examples of real world applications. Currently I tutor 3 students in algebra. I had another algebra student who has moved up to honors geometry.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 is a continuation of algebra 1 with equations that are more various and challenging. I teach how to solve a complicated problem by changing it to a series of simple ones. I love algebra and enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion with students.
Geometry,

Geometry

Many students struggle with Geometry because it is very different from Basic Math and Algebra. We tend to associate math with numbers, but Geometry works with points, lines, surfaces, and combinations of them. I believe Geometry is an important subject because it has many real life applications and it trains a mind to think logically. I tutored three students in Honors Geometry. Their understanding of the subject had increased and their grades had improved.
Prealgebra,

Prealgebra

Prealgebra is a bridge between Basic Math and Algebra. Its focus is on review of various set of numbers and operations with them and introduction of Algebra elements. I tutored 3 students in the past in Prealgebra before they moved on to Algebra. I have knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to make Preagebra easy to understand and fun.
Precalculus,

Precalculus

Precalculus is a bridge between Algebra and Calculus. Precalculus is easy for students who know Algebra well. I can explain all the Algebra topics students missed or misunderstood then move forward with the Calculus part of the program for a successful year in Precalculus.
