Hello and thank you for looking into my services. I am a former professional photographer with a wealth of knowledge to share. After my service as a young marine, where I spent half my tour taking pictures I desired to become a professional photographer. I learned to process B&W film in college. (The magic of watching a print come to life before my eyes never got old!)

In the early 80's I was working at a mediocre studio as an apprentice. At a Bridal show I introduced myself to Joel Gerard, owner of the most prestigious studios in the state. With no professional experience I somehow convinced him to hire me. I was tasked with marketing the studio as I learned the art of portrait photography. It was well over a year before I flew solo on my first wedding.

As Joel was at the time, one of the top photographers in the nation I had opportunities to meet and learn from some of the other top artists in the country. Most of them are long gone. My tutors have included Joe Zeltsman, considered to be the father of classical portraiture. Monte Zucker, one the highest paid wedding photographer is his time. The education I received for these giants over the years is beyond monetary considerations.

Although I have been out of the business for some time, I am still an active photographer. I have never lost the thrill of capturing an image of a subject that through proper lighting and posing encapsulates their very personality in the portrait. I'd like to share the volumes of knowledge I have been blessed with over the years. I do not profess to be an experienced tutor. My fees are reflective of that. What I profess to be is a source of information that i hope will improve your art. Thank you for following through.

Remember,.. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR BAD PHOTOGRAPHY!

I have been (Professional )Photographer since 1985 where I was a Certified Professional Photographer by PPA (Prof. Photog. Assoc.). My expertise is in how to properly pose and light for achieving better results in Portrait Photography. I will cover facial analysis, which view of the face is appropriate and how to compensate for double chins, use of Rembrandt Lighting along with other lighting techniques. You will learn how to use shadows and highlights and add depth and dimension to your portraits. we will also cover the difference in lighting light skinned people vs dark skinned people for achieving depth and dimension. I will show you how to effectively and correctly use "masculine " posing and "feminine" posing and why a female can do either, but not males. These areas as well as many others will be discussed if you find my experience to be of interest. Thank you
