Great writing tutor for a engineering student
Lisa does a great job working with my son, who is an engineering student who struggles with writing. She has worked with my son for several sessions helping him to frame his thinking and writing last semester, and is currently working with him during the summer to continue to improve his reading and writing. Highly recommend her!

Attention to detail
Lisa reviewed my long Capstone paper, although it was impossible for her to read the entire document (145 pages + Appendix) within 5 hours, she did a good job of reading through the main sections and made decent edits and good suggestions. She also asked some good thought provoking questions as part of her edits. I would recommend Lisa for tutoring support especially if you have smaller size documents (<100 pages) to have better quality and thorough review within the stipulated 5 hours. Even within limited time, Lisa demonstrated her keen sense of observation and critical thinking very well! She also responded quickly to my questions!

When my college communications class required a 5-minute, recorded, persuasive speech - I froze! Lisa was phenomenal in understanding my need for guidance in researching for the information, how to map it out for the speech as well as some tough Love when she assigned that I hang up the speech on a big poster and become familiar with it a bit more each day. I read the speech aloud each day and my family was super interested and encouraging. Lisa coached my speaking style and helped me to boost my confidence to achieve something I thought impossible! Her patience and expertise also helped me to accomplish how to plan and write rhetorical essays. It was a lot of work but worth it. Thank you Lisa for a great semester!

Patient, fun tutor!
My son was struggling with his ELA assignments and reading comprehension. Although he is in honors, he dislikes reading. Lisa was able to engage with him and he has made so much progress. He now gets the high 90s on his tests. We are more than thrilled with the practice, support, and confidence boost Lisa was able to provide in such a short period. We hope to continue with Lisa long-term. :)
