I’m Dr. JY, a physicist, electrical engineer, and experienced Princeton Ph.D. tutor with U.S. patents and a lifelong love of teaching.
I hold both Ph.D. and M.S.E.E. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University with minor in Physics. My B.S. is in Theoretical Physics, and I’ve had the unique privilege of studying under six Nobel laureates.

Dr. Jay is hands down the most passionate teacher we have ever met. My son is already a high achiever in a very competitive school. He wanted to use his winter break to dive deeper into Physics; that being said, we were incredibly impressed by Dr. Jay’s session! Having tutored kids in the past, I can see how much he truly cares for his students. He has the ability to effectively guide students along a meticulously planned out schedule, allowing anyone to reach their full potential. According to my son, Dr. Jay's knowledge in Physics is so vast and deep that he can instantly identify any student's weak points, ensuring thorough memorization and mastery in those areas. If you're looking for a physics tutor (especially in preparation for a physics competition), you definitely will not have to look for one anymore. Dr. Yang reviewed Series and Sequences in Calculus BC with me. He was very patient and explained the fundamentals, making the techniques more connected and easier to understand. It really helped me clear my questions in the convergence test topics. Dr. Yang was really mindful in making sure I am keeping up with his pace. Overall, this was a really helpful session.
