Dr. Jay is hands down the most passionate teacher we have ever met. My son is already a high achiever in a very competitive school. He wanted to use his winter break to dive deeper into Physics; that being said, we were incredibly impressed by Dr. Jay’s session! Having tutored kids in the past, I can see how much he truly cares for his students. He has the ability to effectively guide students along a meticulously planned out schedule, allowing anyone to reach their full potential. According to my son, Dr. Jay's knowledge in Physics is so vast and deep that he can instantly identify any student's weak points, ensuring thorough memorization and mastery in those areas. If you're looking for a physics tutor (especially in preparation for a physics competition), you definitely will not have to look for one anymore. He is a great tutor and explains things in context. Many teachers simply give students equations for them to plug in, but he makes sure to explain the process conceptually with context to ensure full understanding of the situation. Very Awesome!

A great method for teaching!

Me and Jay went over a few practice problems for my Physics C Mechanics test, and just with two of them, we had covered so many topics! Jay is able to understand very easily where you are struggling and helps boost your confidence by targeting those weaknesses. My physics test grades were not great before I had these sessions and learned how to really study for physics, but after this session I got a B on my unit 3 test. This was an awesome improvement!

A very engaging and reassuring tutor

I discussed work and energy concepts for my AP Physics C: Mechanics class with Jay. Jay was very engaging when he walked me through practice problems and reframed concepts in ways that were easy to understand. He reassured me that he would be able to help with my lack of understanding, since I jumped into advanced coursework with no prior physics experience. He demonstrated his tried and true method for solving all kinds of physics and problems, and he alerted me of common pitfalls when solving work and energy problems. I now feel more prepared for my unit test and am looking forward to more lessons with Jay in order to stay ahead. My only critique is that we did not cover much content in the 1 hour session. We did two practice problems that covered a few topics, but I would appreciate it
