I hold a Doctorate in Education and am certified to teach Biological Sciences, Health, and Psychology. My academic background combines deep content knowledge with advanced training in instructional design, assessment, and differentiated learning strategies. My professional endeavors focus on effective teaching practices and student engagement, which directly informs how I support learners today.
I taught high school science for 13 years in a traditional classroom setting, working with students in grades 9–12. I have taught Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Psychology courses to students with a wide range of abilities, including honors, general education, AP, and students requiring additional academic support. Throughout my career, I have prioritized clarity, structure, and relationship-building to help students feel confident and capable.
My teaching approach centers on breaking complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. I use guided practice, real-world examples, formative assessment, and targeted feedback to ensure understanding—not just memorization. I frequently differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs and adjust pacing based on student progress.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have provided one-on-one academic support and small-group instruction, allowing me to tailor lessons to individual goals, whether that involves strengthening foundational knowledge, preparing for exams, or improving study skills.
My experience across classroom and individualized settings has strengthened my ability to explain challenging material clearly, patiently, and effectively for diverse learners.
