I hold a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education and began my career as a middle and high school math teacher, where I taught grades 7–12 in both charter and public school settings. My foundation in math education is rooted in a commitment to making complex concepts accessible and engaging for all learners. Over the years, I have supported students in mastering everything from foundational algebraic thinking to advanced problem-solving, consistently helping them build confidence and independence as mathematical thinkers.
For more than a decade, I have worked in education—as a classroom teacher, math dean, principal, and now as the Managing Director of High School STEM for a network of charter schools. In this role, I oversee instructional quality in math and science across multiple high schools, coach school leaders, and design professional learning for teachers. My teaching and tutoring approach emphasizes conceptual understanding, step-by-step skill development, and real-world application. I also integrate strategies that support diverse learners, including those who struggle with math anxiety or gaps in prior knowledge.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with students from middle school through college preparation, in both one-on-one and group settings. Whether teaching in a classroom, mentoring teachers, or tutoring students individually, I focus on building strong relationships and tailoring instruction to each learner’s needs. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve their grades or test scores, but to foster lasting confidence and curiosity in their learning journey.
