Hi! I’m a certified English teacher with a bachelor’s in Creative Writing and Secondary English Education and a master’s in Teaching Students with Special Needs. For the past three years, I’ve worked at a Title I high school, where I’ve taught my own English and Creative Writing classes, supported students as a Title I tutor, and run a resource room for students with IEPs and 504 plans. I’ve also worked with younger students at the elementary level, so I’m comfortable supporting a wide age range.
I believe that all students can grow when they’re given the right tools and support. I try to use a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) approach to make sure I’m reaching students with all kinds of strengths, challenges, and learning styles. Whether it’s helping a student organize their thoughts for a persuasive essay or breaking down a complex reading passage, I tailor my teaching to what works best for them.
I’m especially passionate about helping students who have learning differences. In my resource room, I worked closely with students on IEPs and 504s—helping them not only catch up, but thrive. Some of my high school students have even gone on to win writing awards, earn scholarships, and get accepted into colleges thanks to their growth as writers.
If your child needs help with writing, reading comprehension, college essays, or just building confidence in English class, I’d love to help. I aim to create a supportive, judgment-free space where students can build real skills and feel proud of their progress.
