I have 2 master degrees in Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia University and London Business School (joint dual degree executive global program) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University Questrom School of Business with concentrations in International Business, Business Law and Marketing. I've had a career in international business and investment management working on market research, business plan drafting, financial valuations and project management for the development of energy projects in emerging markets, and before that had a brief career in commercial real estate project management working on office build-out projects. I now have my own consulting business where I advise small and medium businesses and investors on business plans, growth strategies and industry analysis, as well as guiding business leaders on personal development work-life-balance and leadership skills cultivating on my 30+ years of martial arts and mindfulness practices.
In addition, I've been teaching for nearly 3 years from tutoring, teaching financial planning, guest lecturing at universities, and life coaching, and recently became a Project Finance Instructor at Wall Street Prep.

I love sharing my knowledge and helping others grow, learn and develop new skills, so am very excited to have the opportunity to tutor.

I then worked alongside Admissions Committees for my EMBA Global Program at Columbia University and London Business Schools attending and leading information sessions, interviewing prospective applicants and supporting the admissions committee in evaluating applications. I've also evaluated applications for special programs of my high school and throughout my 20-year business career, have been on the hiring side as the primary recruitment decision maker.

I'm a lifelong practitioner of martial arts, running, yoga, stretching and general fitness. In addition to being a Master Instructor in Taekwondo with 30 years experience, I ran Cross Country and Track & Field for 8 years (both in high school and T&F in college), and recreationally run, swim, and practice general fitness and stretching. I've taken particular interest in physiology and understanding fascia and muscle functions and have created my own exercise routines for training and practicing yoga, martial arts, running & strength training. I have taught martial arts and yoga and supported teammates as Track & Field co-captain of my high school and college track teams, so I'm familiar with all aspects of fitness training.

I am a certified 4th Dan Taekwondo Master having practice Taekwondo for more than 30 years beginning with World Taekwondo Federation studying under Grandmaster Sun Man Lee (one of the original masters to install WTF Taekwondo into Olympics) for the first decade and followed by 20 years practicing traditional ITF-style Taekwondo under world-renowned Grandmaster Suk Jun Kim. In addition, I've been practicing Qi Gong and Tai Chi for 20+ years and have sporadic Kung Fu and Karate experience.

I'm an experienced public speaker having given conference addresses in business and political settings, been a guest lecturer in college courses, given podcast interviews and teach individuals and small groups and have taught public speaking to school-age students and adults for 3 years. I have learned public speaking through my high school speech program, presenting researched 10-minute speeches in 9th and 10th grades, participated in Debate Club, and was class speaker at my MBA Graduation.

I am a native Russian speaker using the language fluently in both home settings (with my family we only speak Russian) and in business settings (prior to sanctions, I participated in US-Russia business relations and international investment deals). I began my education while still living in Russia and completed my high school and college in the US, having taken Russian literature and grammar college courses designed specifically for expat native speakers. I have also been successfully teaching Russian for 3 years online (in a similar setting to Wyzant) including elementary grade level kids as well as adults. I also manage a community where I translate large amounts of text and video content from English to Russian and have been doing this for more than 3 years. I feel particularly qualified to teach because I have a native fluent knowledge of Russian and a like-native fluency in English, so I'm able to not only teach basic vocabulary and grammar but also highlight contextual nuances that only native speakers of both languages would understand.
