Rutger University-College of Engineering
Rutger University (Graduate Coursework)
I always knew that I loved math and physics, and when I was entering college I asked my father for guidance/assistance as to what direction I should pursue in college and subsequently my career. I remember he asked me "What do you love and what do you do well?". I answered honestly saying I loved math and I was good at solving problems. Well, this was very clear according to my father that I should then be an Electrical Engineer. So, about 20 years ago I completed my BS in Electrical Engineering and began a successful career leading me to my current position as Sr. Director/Division Manager for a Federal Contractor. This still has left me feeling unsatisfied, I really was not happy. During raising my two girls it became clear that I really loved teaching/tutoring them in math and physics. My oldest, currently a high school senior, reached the highest levels in honors and AP classes including AP BC Calculus. I am certified to teach math K-12 in New Jersey in preparation to transition from my current career. I would love to help you, or if you are a parent, your child, excel in the academic areas of math and physics.

Brian is working with my daughter to get her caught up in AP Calculus. She was ill during the fall semester and fell way behind. Brian has helped her tremendously in just a few tutoring sessions. His 90 minute tutoring sessions allow for a more complete lesson than the average 60 minute session. Brian also travels to your home or convenient public place. 5 stars!
Brian is an amazing tutor. Brian is one of the very few that actually knows his stuff. You can count on Brian to show up on time and prepared! Brian will always ask for the work beforehand.
My son was so behind in math and Brian has really helped him. He is kind and patient. He really cares if my son gets good grades. He breaks down the math problem down to its simplest form. Great tutor. He is always early when meeting and never cancelled.
My son is in High School and a strong math student. He meets with Brian occasionally when he feels he could benefit from some extra help. My son is taking Algebra 2/Trig. Brian is very knowledgeable about math and able to explain well whatever my son has needed assistance with understanding. He is friendly and professional as well. It's so nice to know that Brian can be relied on to help whenever needed. We highly recommend him!
He is very helpful with my calculus math problems. He tries different ways if you don't get it the first time. I feel he has helped me fill in some areas I was having problems with in class.
Brian is working with my 15 year old son, who is ADHD, doing 9th grade Algebra. He's very good with him, very kind and patient. He's on time, thorough, prepared and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him.
Brian has tutored my HS junior on AP Physics. In just a few lessons, he has helped my son better understand the concepts and improve his problem solving. Brian easily relates to his students and follows up after each lesson to ensure closure on questions that came up during the session. Definitely recommend Brian!
Brian is excellent in teaching statistics and business analytics. Patient, Passionate and Knowledgeable. I highly recommend Brian to any student looking for help in Math Subjects.
Brian was an excellent choice for our daughter. He is thoroughly competent and was able to make the advanced curriculum understandable. He was and is a confidence builder.
Working with Brian was very helpful. With his help I went up 2 whole letter grades and successfully passed calculus 3. Brian was very knowledgeable about the subject which he was tutoring me in addition, he used his prior math knowledge from other math courses to help instruct me on mathematical concepts. Finally Brian went "above and beyond", in his free time he would review my homework and alert me to any mistakes I may have missed and also do the problems on his own as examples for me. I would recommend him as a great tutor for he has an upbeat personality and teaches the information you need in an enjoyable manner!
Spoke to Brian about tutoring my senior in high schools and he wound up tutoring both the senior and the junior. He is patient, supportive and very kind. Both my children have a better understanding of physics in one lesson. I am very pleased and thrilled we found Brian.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am an Electrical Engineer and I am very strong in mathematics and physics. I am certified math content via the Praxis math knowledge exam and certified to teach K-12. I apply math each and everyday at work from algebra and geometry through very advanced calculus. I also specialize in statistics and probability theory which I also apply at work regularly.
