Hello! I’m a certified high school physics teacher with 4 years of full-time classroom experience in a public school setting, and I am currently pursuing my 2nd master’s degree to further strengthen my expertise in science education.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education of Physics and a Masters of Education in Science Teaching & Technology . I am a fully certified teacher in Pennsylvania for Physics (grades 7-12) through the Pennsylvania Department of Education, which involved passing the required subject area examination and meeting all professional standards.
For the past 4 years, I have taught physics to students in grades 9–12 (ages 14–18) in a traditional high school classroom of 20–30 students. I also regularly provide one-on-one support during office hours and after-school sessions. My methods emphasize breaking down complex topics: such as mechanics, energy, electricity & magnetism, and waves using real-world examples, simple analogies, interactive problem-solving, diagrams, graphs, and free virtual labs like PhET simulations. I focus on building strong conceptual understanding and step-by-step reasoning rather than rote memorization, which helps students improve grades, gain confidence, and develop skills that transfer to other STEM areas.
As an active classroom teacher, I know the current high school curriculum, common challenges, and how to align tutoring with your child’s schoolwork or AP Physics needs (1, 2, or C). Whether your student needs homework help, test prep, catching up, or getting ahead, I tailor sessions to their unique learning style.
Parents often share that their child feels less frustrated and more empowered after our sessions. I’m flexible with evenings and weekends via Zoom (with screen sharing and digital whiteboard) to fit busy schedules.
I’m excited to partner with you, let’s make physics click! Feel free to message me for a short introductory call to discuss your student’s goals.
