Hello! I am a highly experienced online tutor with several years of experience tutoring in an online environment. I hold both a B.S. and a master’s degree in business disciplines and have spent more than 25 years working in Finance and Accounting, in both for-profit and nonprofit environments. Numbers, analysis, and problem-solving have always been right in my wheelhouse, while the written word has been equally close to my heart.

During COVID-19, I decided to explore online tutoring and have never looked back. I quickly discovered how much I enjoy helping students reach that “Aha!” moment, whether we are analyzing a hypothetical business decision, applying the appropriate accounting treatment to a transaction, developing a persuasive essay, or working through a challenging algebra equation. Personal reflections, compare/contrast papers, algebra word problems, management principles, and P&L statements are all well within my areas of expertise.

During my previous tutoring tenure, I received numerous highly rated reviews and positive student feedback, particularly highlighting my communication skills and friendly, helpful approach to guiding students toward their best outcomes, regardless of their individual learning style.

The primary delivery method for my services is online, via the Wyzant Learning Studio, an interactive virtual classroom. Two of my biggest strengths—in addition to friendliness and expertise—are responsiveness and flexibility. When needed, I can often modify my schedule and arrange a tutoring session within a relatively short timeframe.
