Hello! Though new to Wyzant as of Summer 2026, I am a veteran online tutor, with several years of experience under my belt of tutoring in an online environment. I hold both a BS and a Master's degree in Business disciplines, and have worked for more than 25 years within a Finance/Accounting environment, both in the for-profit and non-profit realms. Crunching numbers and applying analysis has always been "my thing." In addition, the written word has always been very close to my heart. During Covid, while a great many of us were cooped up, I decided to explore the avenue of online tutoring and have never looked back. It was then that I discovered my enthusiasm for helping students to that "Aha!" moment -- whether we were discussing how to analyze and diagnose a hypothetical business decision, apply an appropriate accounting treatment to a particular transaction, formulate a persuasive essay that communicated their main argument, or flesh out a challenging algebra equation. Personal reflections, compare/contrast papers, algebra word problems, management principles, and P&L statements are all well within my area of expertise.

During my previous tutoring tenure, I garnered numerous highly-rated reviews and positive student comments. The positive feedback highlighted, among other things, my proficiency as a communicator and my friendly, helpful style of guiding students to their best outcomes, no matter their particular learning style.

The nuts and bolts for me -- the main delivery system for my tutoring services is online, through the Wyzant Learning Studio (an interactive online "classroom" environment). I often do not have the bandwidth to provide in-person tutoring, but would not completely rule it out in rare circumstances. A huge checkmark in my column is my responsiveness and flexibility, however. I can often mold my schedule to approve and arrange a tutoring session within a short time window, if necessary.
