I've been a one-on-one peer tutor at Northern Essex for almost two years, starting off as a Biology and Chemistry Tutor. In the semester of Fall of 2023, I took on tutoring for Early College students, where Lawrence Highschool students come to Northern Essex during their school day and earn college credits. I tutored about twenty-five students at once in a classroom setting. After I began doing that, the Coordinator of Tutoring asked me to tutor Applied Mathematics, and since then I have also been tutoring math and Precalculus for Business and Social Sciences. Aside from my normal tutoring sessions, I currently tutor Human Biology for thirty Early College Students.
Most students I tutor range in age from 18-65 and I work mostly one-on-one. Northern Essex being a community college, the age range of students is vast. The Early College students I tutor are between 16-18 years old in the classroom setting, and I have worked with about fifty-five of them. I work with a lot of early and mid-twenties students, as well as middle-aged students. I enjoy tutoring/ teaching students of any age.
