As a passionate and dedicated history tutor, I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge that sets me apart. My membership in the National Historic Society reflects my deep commitment to understanding and preserving the rich tapestry of our past. Graduating cum laude from UMass Lowell not only showcases my academic achievements but also my strong work ethic and ability to grasp complex historical concepts, which I am eager to share with my students.

With eight years of tutoring experience, I have honed my ability to explain historical events and themes in engaging and accessible ways. I understand that each student has a unique learning style, and I tailor my approach to meet their individual needs, fostering a supportive and stimulating environment where they can thrive.

As a veteran, I bring a unique perspective to my tutoring sessions, incorporating lessons learned from my service and instilling values such as discipline, perseverance, and leadership. I believe that history is not just about dates and events but about the people and stories that shape our world. My goal is to inspire my students to appreciate history's relevance to their lives and encourage critical thinking about the lessons it offers.

Whether you're looking to boost your grades, deepen your understanding, or cultivate a genuine interest in history, I am committed to guiding you on your journey. Together, we can explore the past, connect it to the present, and prepare for a future informed by the lessons of history.

Approved Subjects

American History

American History

As a combat veteran of our nations military, no other topic is more important to me than the history of America. I was a soldier in operation Inherent Resolve, and not only do I believe in tutoring our nations history I lived it. I believe firmly that any American should know their history, as it not only broadens the mind, but also teaches us about our rights enshrined in the constitution, and it is truly the story of us.
European History

European History

I’ve been to Europe several times, and every time I visit a new country it always gives a new perspective. From the Irish and their recovery from years of oppression, to Austria and their complicated history with Nazi Germany. I aim to teach students that Europe is not just one place but a collective of many diverse cultures and ethnicities, all with their own history.
Geography

Geography

Geography is one of the most important subjects a social studies teacher can teach. I’ve been to four continents, and firmly believe in not only teaching, but experiencing the world. Through my extensive training in geography at the bachelors level and through my service in the military, I will offer a unique and captivating teaching experience about the world we live in.
Social Studies

Social Studies

People often believe that Social Studies is just history, they couldn’t be more wrong. It is about society, social relationships, and indeed how our very world functions. I aim to teach my students that social studies is more then just memorizing dates, it is to have a better understanding of the world itself, and our place within it.
World History

World History

My experience teaching about the world comes from my time traveling. I have been to Asia, Europe, north and Central America, and I lived in the Middle East for a year. I aim to take the lessons I’ve learned from my travels alongside my bachelors degree in history and instruct my students on the many complex cultures of the world, and what has happened in the past to make our world the way it is today.
