I specialize in elementary education in the areas of reading, science, and writing. I believe it takes a special person to educate while connecting personally with students. This person must encompass a special passion and commitment to help each individual child find their way through their unique educational maze. This is achieved by providing an adaptive curriculum that meets not only educational standards but allows for purposeful functional educational learning experiences for each student embraces my philosophy in keeping students engaged and excited about learning, supporting them in developing and continuing to build upon mastered skills that are essential to live full and functionally productive lives.
I consider myself an effective leader. I believe that in past positions I have worked hard to create warm, supportive relationships with students, colleagues, and the families of my students. This involves skills surrounding active listening, demonstration of respect, and incorporating appropriate ideas into proposed plans for implementing educational supports to students. I try to be as flexible as possible. I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy.
