Well Rounded K-12 Tutor; Specializing in Calculus

Aiden C.

Hello, my name is Aiden. I am starting my bachelors in Mathematics at UMass Amherst this coming fall. I have been a tutor for around 4 years at this point. I began tutoring friends and family in math, although in the past two years I have tutored in a more professional manner through the National Honors Society at my high school. Here I took on a broader range of tutoring subjects. In particular, I have prowess in tutoring each facet of math up to multivariable calculus as well as physics and chemistry. I find tutoring quite rewarding seeing students grasp these challenging and rigorous topics in a manner that they personally find intuitive.

In regards to experience, I was taking AP Calculus AB at my high school during junior year before being moved up to AP Calculus BC throughout the school year. Simultaneously, I began a Differential Equations class at Manchester Community College (MCC). The following year I took a Multivariable Calculus course through MCC and a Mathematical Proofs Course at River Valley Community College. I have scored highly in all of these courses. Additionally, I scored 5s on AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics 1 and 2.

Math is a hobby of mine that I spend my free time studying. I greatly enjoy the field of mathematics and its various branches. I firmly believe that an understanding of mathematics, chemistry, and physics is not learned through brute force memorization but gained through a shift in perspective or a clever reframing that allows each individual to understand it in a way that works for them.
