My experience with the ASVAB test is personal and professional. In 2007 I had aspirations to join the military and went through the process including taking the ASVAB test. I was carted out to western Massachusetts to participate. My results would have enabled me to make any MOS choice I wanted and was allowed to, at the time, in the National Guard/Army. I ended up not joining the military, but in the meantime I've assisted and tutored many people in raising their scores to well past the required minimum and desired score. My process is to find the strategies that work for each student individually while being available to support and continue the motivation to reach each goal. Taking the ASVAB test is similar to any other standardized test - it is a process that can be mastered while refreshing content skills.

I had to take the ASVAB three times, and I honestly don’t think I would’ve passed without her help. When I was studying for my second attempt, she already had a ton of resources ready for me. By the third time, she really dialed in—she found all the holes in my understanding, explained things in a way that finally made sense, and never once got impatient with me.
