Hello,

My name is Matt and I am an experienced secondary education instructor with an active teaching certification in New Hampshire. I have a BA in history (UMO) and an MA in Classics (Brandeis). I have experience both teaching and tutoring languages and my current specializations are Latin and English. I also know a limited amount of ancient Greek.

My minors in college were psychology, English, and anthropology. I have spent two summers studying language abroad in Ireland (UCC) and attended the American School of Classical Studies in Athens (2014) as well as the Vergilian Society (2016). I have been involved with multiple archaeological projects around the Mediterranean, including Greece, Italy, and Israel.

My latest work has been involved with the ongoing Southern Phokis Regional Project in central Greece (2022-present) which is run by the Peabody Museum at Yale University. I am uniquely qualified to provide instruction not only for ancient languages, but also a plethora of Classical and historical topics.

I would love to work with anyone willing to learn, expand their own academic horizons, and gain a more complete understanding of language and/or history. I currently teach grades 9-12 at all levels of language proficiency as well as archaeology: a first-of-its-kind class at the secondary education level which I spearheaded and for which I created a curriculum.
