One of my favorite teachers was one that took the time to explain the concept and made sure that her message was communicated well to each student. I carried that with me to my tutoring job in making my message clear to each student individually.
Math and Physic were two of my favorite subjects in school. Ever since high school, I have helped classmates and friends in these two subjects. Since my first semester of college, while pursuing my engineering degree, I got a job in the tutoring lab and worked as a math tutor, tutoring from Algebra 1 to calculus. I had group sessions, going over concepts and example problems. Following the group sessions, I worked with students individually going over anything that wasn't clear during the group session. While my general method is getting each student as engaged as possible, and helping them understand for themselves, my teaching method was different from student to student, based on the subject and feedback I get from them.
With 10+ years of tutoring experience, I have learned that teaching requires patience and care. My goal is for my students to succeed and to always get out of my sessions better than when they came in. To the benefit of my students, I welcome feedback/suggestions, from students and parents, as much as possible. I am easy to reach, I will provide responses as fast as possible.
