I’m Joseph. I’m a beginning tutor who has always enjoyed helping people with STEM. Mathematics and Computer Science are my specialities. My favorite part of tutoring is seeing the angles students think from as they learn new material. Every student is different, and I love understanding how one student thinks differently than another. I take my tutoring approach from George Polya’s book “How to Solve It,” which has created waves in the math teaching community.

Understanding and patient tutor
Overall, I think Joseph was hands-down an amazing and helpful tutor. His attitude right off the bat was cheery and full of enthusiasm. The tutoring session was full of helpful information and I got to understand the majority of the problems on my homework. I am not the best at math but Joseph helped explain every concept I had difficulty with. At the end of the session, he went back to reiterate what exactly I had learned in the tutoring session. I would really recommend Joseph for any math tutoring needs as he is kind, patient, and very understanding. One of the best tutors on Wyzant!

Joseph I took the time to review every question I had abs dedicated himself to making sure I understand the material!! He showed me that memorizing formulas isn't the right way to do math, and went into depth behind the theory and concepts of the problems so that I could solve the question efficiently and correctly. Use him!! He also made a note sheet with me for my midterm which was incredibly helpful

What I like about Joseph is he asked a lot of questions to get a good understanding what I was wanting to do/accomplish. We clarified what my goals are and put together a strategy on how to go about accomplishing them. I enjoyed my first lesson with him and look forward to continuing working with Joseph.

Literally the best. I started off not knowing anything and just in a few sessions with him I am knocking through my assignments, understanding what I am doing, and able to debug some stuff on my own. Highly recommend Joseph ! He really makes sure you get what you want out of the lessons. Seriously no other tutor out there like Joseph. He is passionate and really good at what he does.
