My name is Eliza, and I received my M.A in TESOL from the School for International Training (SIT) in Brattleboro, VT. I have experience teaching children and adults. I love to help language learners over hurtles, whether it be in reading, writing, speaking, or listening comprehension. I believe in an experiential learning model, so a learn-by-doing approach. We will work together to determine what areas of the English language you may be struggling with, or wish to boost your skills/confidence with, and will build up from there. Seeing students gain that confidence and acquire the language skills that are most pertinent to their daily lives, professional lives, academic lives, and so forth is what drives me professionally.
I have an SIT TESOL Certificate from the International Language Institute in Northampton, MA. Two years ago, I received my Master's of Arts in TESOL from SIT in Brattleboro, VT. I speak German at an advanced level, and several other languages at a beginner level, so I know what it is to learn and struggle with a non-native language learning experience, and all the joys and pains that come from the language learning experience.
I have chosen teaching as my career path, as I greatly value the aspect of teaching where I learn from my students and their unique perspectives on life and language. Helping others is also a passion of mine, and any way I can assist you on your language-learning journey, I am more than happy to do so! I am easy to reach, and look forward to working with you.
