My name is Anne. I have been a teacher for most of my adult life. Beginning with getting an elementary education teaching certificate, then teaching people how to build computer networks at Boston University. I also volunteered at a local elementary school and was successful in helping students bring their reading skills up to, or past, grade level.
As a person with Dyslexia, learning does not come easily for me. I believe this makes me a better teacher. I understand that people learn by using different formats, so I incorporate seeing, saying, doing and listening in my teaching. So if you need help in reading, I would establish where your level is at, step back a bit from that and create a program that involves for instance, seeing an object and the corresponding word for it. Then I'd have you hold the object, say the word for it and write the word for it.
If you need help with anatomy, I have been a sonographer for 11 years and am registered with ARDMS in abdomen and OB/GYN. I also perform most vascular exams. For 5 years I have helped multiple students learn scanning techniques and to perfect their trade.
No matter what your age is, I would love the opportunity to help you learn to read better, or help you not just memorize anatomical parts, but understand them and their relation in the body.
