Bio

I am certified as a Reading/Writing Specialist, Special Education Teacher, Behavioral Specialist, ADHD Coach, Dyslexia Advote, as well as OG certified. I have worked with children in grades k-9. I utilize Fundations, OG (certified), Wilson, fluency programs, LLI, Framing Your Thoughts, Comp Toolkit, Visualizing and Verbalizing, LIPS, as well as other tools to help students.

I have worked with several children who have ADHD (including my own 7 year old child) and worked with them on academic skills such as reading, as well as, organizational skills.

I have worked with children on the spectrum for the past few years. I began as an in home therapist, then supervisor, and currently a special education teacher.

I currently use OG with some students who are on my caseload with Dyslexia. I also have been training for my certification for Orton Gillingham officially, even though I have been using it for a few years now. I am a Reading Specialist, as well as a Special Education teacher and my own child has Dyslexia. I am well versed in working with kids with all types of reading concerns.

I took the Praxis 2 for the state of NH in Elementary Education and I am highly qualified in this area. I passed in the areas of reading/writing, science and mathematics for grades K-8. I also worked as a teacher for children K-3 for four years. In addition, I was a private tutor for two families prior to signing with WyzAnt for the past year.

I have my Master's in Special Education and I am also currently enrolled in a Reading Specialist program to become certified. I am familiar and have taught phonics to children.
