I am a graduate of UCONN with a degree in Biology and recently completed received a Master's degree in Human Genetics and Genomics from SCUHS. I have worked in a genetics lab as a supervisor for almost 8 years and have work in medical research since approximately 2000.
My philosophy for teaching and learning is progress forward and understanding of material, not just memorization. I enjoy coming up with sometimes silly examples to make a point clear that can then be related back to the subject. I am flexible with my teaching style and willing to work in a way that works best for you.
I am familiar with reading research papers and journals, and with AMA formatting. I enjoy reading papers on any subject and editing for grammar, punctuation, or content. If you need something reviewed for clarity, plain language, etc. I'd be happy to read and review my thoughts with you.
