During more than 15 years in long-term care, I advanced through clinical, educational, and leadership roles, including staff nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, Staff Development Coordinator, Infection Control Nurse, and Quality Assurance Nurse. I also became a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and Assisted Living Administrator and served for approximately two years as Executive Director of a nursing home and assisted living facility. These roles gave me extensive experience in staff development, coaching, team building, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, infection control, and customer service. I also have more than 18 years of health insurance experience as a Utilization Management Review Nurse and Medical Policy Nurse Analyst. My clinical background includes inpatient orthopedics, medical-surgical nursing, walk-in care, and outpatient cardiology.
I especially enjoy teaching dementia care, wound care, fall prevention, abuse and neglect prevention, team building, and customer service.
