I'm Ryan, a sophomore at the College of the Holy Cross majoring in Economics with a minor in Creative Writing, on track to graduate magna cum laude. Tutoring has been one of my favorite things to do in high school, and I can't wait to continue this passion in college! In high school, I discovered my passion for tutoring while assisting peers in AP Language and Composition, AP Literature, and business classes. I loved helping students grasp complex concepts and was always eager to provide extra support when needed, tailoring my approach to make lessons engaging and clear.
As a published writer, I contribute sports articles to the SPIRE and the Bow Times, bringing a unique perspective to my tutoring. I use lesson plans that introduce topics in a fun, creative way, often drawing from real-world examples like economics trends or storytelling techniques. After each session, I ensure students have time to practice the material on their own, adjusting my method to fit their individual needs.
I have excellent tutoring experience from high school, where I worked with students needing extra help in small groups of 5-10, ensuring they stayed on track. Additionally, I held after-school sessions where students could drop in for homework help in Economics, Creative Writing, and business-related topics.
I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible, so I’m always open to suggestions or resources from parents or students. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson!
