I am a certified K–6 teacher with an ESL endorsement, and I bring both classroom expertise and one-on-one tutoring experience to every session. I understand how children learn in school and how to break skills down step by step when students need extra support, especially English language learners and beginners. As a non-traditional student, I put myself through college while raising my family and earning my master’s degree in teaching. That journey shaped my patience, flexibility, and deep understanding that every learner’s path looks different. I create a calm, structured, and encouraging environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and grow. Most importantly, I focus on building confidence alongside academic skills. One of my tutoring students raised their math grade from an F to an A in just one semester, and another increased her state test score by over 100 points in the same school year. Classroom teachers often share that they notice increased confidence and participation in students who work with me. I believe when students feel supported and capable, real progress follows—and that belief guides everything I do as a tutor.
