Hi there! My name is Jacob. I graduated in April 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and am a dental student now. During my undergrad, I took many science courses in the chemistry, physics, and biology disciplines. I tutored anatomy and 100-level chemistry for two years while also working as a student instructor for an inorganic chemistry lab. Beyond college courses, I have experience tutoring AP Chemistry, coaching basketball, leading STEM classes for underserved communities, and teaching piano among other instruments.

While I have always dreamed of becoming a dentist, I have also found a passion for teaching. This, no doubt, is due to the countless incredible teachers and mentors I have looked up to my entire life. Throughout middle school and high school, I found that I had a closer relationship with my teacher than I did with many of my classmates. I believe this was due to their ability to dig deep into the material and teach with our curious questions in mind. They truly cared about my concerns and wanted me to succeed in the course and in my future pursuits.

This is truly my hope for all I tutor. I seek to develop a relationship of trust with all as we tackle difficult concepts and perplexing problems one at a time. Nothing makes me happier than making a plan of action with students and watching them achieve THEIR learning goals.

Whether it is a one-time homework help or a weekly session, I am here to serve! Contact me for more information, and schedule your session today!

Knowledgeable and Skilled Communicative Tutor

Jacob was able to help my daughter with AP Chemistry homework in a manner that allowed her to complete additional problems on her own after the session. We will definitely be using Jacob for future AP Chem homework! Jacob was able to communicate the lesson in a manner that my daughter could understand.

Patient, flexible tutor

Jacob is an excellent tutor and helped me work through many high-yield topics on the DAT, including biology, organic chemistry, general chemistry, and quantitative reasoning. He is very patient and great at using analogies and "easy to remember" examples while learning and solidifying test material. Jacob also has a very flexible schedule, and he understands what to focus on to help fill in your gaps of knowledge. I am super grateful for his help and highly recommend Jacob as a tutor!

Patient and helpful

Jacob was very patient and ran through each problem step by step with me. He explained things well, and I understand the concepts much more than I did before our meeting. I will use him again throughout the semester. :) Highly recommend.
