I have a degree in biology that I earned from Bernard Baruch City University while living in New York. I graduated Cum Laude and was on the undergraduate Dean's List. I also hold a Master's of Arts in teaching from the College of Saint Mary that I earned here in Omaha. I am certified to teach in the State of Nebraska and have been working for Omaha Public Schools these past two years as a substitute teacher.

I am a mom and a grandma. As a full-time substitute teacher, I am experienced with all age groups and am skilled at finding the roadblocks to successful learning.

I am a firm believer in "the power of yet". I was a ballet dancer when I was young and terrible at math. When I went to college in New York, I had to take four quarters of remedial math just to qualify for college level courses. Bernard Baruch had a focus on business, people were vying to get into their MBA program and the math requirements were very stringent. I found that once I had filled in some gaps in my knowledge, I was really pretty good at it and have taken many math courses since then.
