Bio

I graduated from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Art's degree in Mathematics and a Master of Art's in Elementary Education with a Middle School Endorsement. I taught eighth grade math for three years. I worked at a major private Learning Center for 6 years while staying home with my children. There, I tutored students K - adult in reading, study skills, math, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry and administered assessment tests.

Amy assisted my daughter with Algebra II concepts. My daughter shared that she was able to show her simple ways to solve complex problems. She also commented on how patient and thorough Amy was throughout the lesson. We will be using Amy again!

A good teacher!

My child has been studying with Amy for about three months now. They were not confident in Math and because of COVID, they didn't have enough opportunities to interact with their teacher and peers. Since they started working with Amy, their confidence grew significantly. I now find them solving math problems in their spare time. I think this says it all. Amy has been wonderful with her steady and assuring teaching style. I was not sure about online tutoring, but it ended up to be a good experience. Although we live in a different time zone, Amy has been accommodated to our schedule to the best of her abilities. We decided to continue working with her during this school year.
