Dear Potential Students and Parents,
I'm a Biomedical Engineering undergraduate at Columbia University and a C. Prescott Davis Scholar (150 chosen out of nearly 60,000 applicants), and I maintain a 4.03 GPA, earning an A+ in courses like Organic Chemistry and Psychology. In high school, I achieved a perfect 36 on the ACT with 36 sub-scores in Math, Reading, and Science. Graduating from the top 1% of my high school class with a 4.51 GPA, I provide a framework for students to master challenging STEM material and perform well under pressure.
Over the past years, I’ve gained one-on-one tutoring experience across many age groups. My background ranges from helping elementary students build basic reading and math skills to mentoring high schoolers through AP/IB courses and college admissions exams. I have spent years providing comprehensive academic support to younger students aged 5 to 13 in core subjects, and I’ve provided peer tutoring for high school classmates in physics, chemistry, and ACT/SAT prep. This diverse experience allows me to seamlessly pivot between basic concepts and high-level subjects.
What sets me apart is my interactive, Socratic teaching philosophy and exceptional patience/mental calmness. I actively engage students by asking targeted, thought-provoking questions that stimulate critical thinking. This method allows them to build a foundational intuition and confidence under pressure. Since every student has a distinct learning style and learning pace, I pride myself on customizing my approach to ensure students can receive calm, effective mentorship.
