I graduated with honors from Creighton University in 2025, earning a B.S.Chm with a double major in Chemistry and Biomedical Physics. I was the sole recipient of the Distinguished Student awards in both Analytical Chemistry and Physical Chemistry, and earned the highest overall score in my first-semester Organic Chemistry course.
I currently work as an Applications Chemist at Elemental Scientific Incorporated, where I build and test sample automation systems. These are simple robots that prepare blood samples for trace metals analysis. A core part of my role is one-on-one instruction: when installing these systems at customer sites, I train laboratory staff on the software and workflows, walking each user through the system step by step until they can operate it independently. This has sharpened my ability to break down technical material for people encountering it for the first time.
My tutoring experience prior to this has been informal, helping fellow undergraduates at Creighton work through chemistry, physics, and calculus coursework in one-on-one sessions. My approach was consistent: we would start by breaking down foundational concepts and confirming that every building block was solid before moving on. Once the fundamentals clicked, we worked through practice problems together to reinforce understanding and build confidence. Most students who struggle with these subjects aren't missing problem solving skills, but rather one or two ideas from earlier classes they have forgotten.
Subjects I tutor include chemistry (general, organic, analytical, inorganic, physical, biochemistry, and AP Chemistry), algebra-based physics, and Calculus 1 and 2. I am available for both online and in-person sessions. I welcome high school students, college students, and AP exam preppers.
