I hold bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Biochemistry from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and am currently pursuing my PhD in Biostatistics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. My strong academic background allows me to explain complex ideas in ways that make sense to students, from breaking down abstract math concepts to connecting chemistry and statistics to real-world applications.
Over the years, I have tutored students ranging from elementary school through college and graduate coursework. My experience includes teaching at my high school’s tutoring program, working with students at Mathnasium, and serving as a teaching assistant in both my undergraduate and graduate programs. I particularly enjoy helping students prepare for standardized tests—I earned a 35 on the ACT myself—and I take pride in teaching effective test-taking strategies that build confidence and accuracy under pressure.
Whether I’m helping a young student build a foundation in math or guiding a college student through biostatistical methods, my goal is always the same: to make learning engaging, logical, and rewarding. I encourage questions, adapt to each student’s learning style, and make myself available for support even beyond our scheduled sessions.
